Key of E, standard tuning.
A lengthy and moody instrumental (5 verses) and a great library of licks in this popular key. Based on a performance by German jazz musician Oscar Klein.

2- You Don't Have To Go
Key of E, standard tuning.
Jimmy Reed's classic blues. If you like to shuffle, this is it.

3- Gee Baby, Ain't I Good To You
Key of G, standard tuning.
A jazz standard I fell in love with when I heard Geoff Muldaur's version. Fingerstyle jazz without all the difficult chords.

4- Going to Georgia on a Horn
Key of G, standard tuning.
A John Jackson song. He had a knack for beautiful melodic and easy to play songs. This is one of them.

5- You Ain't No Woman
Key of C, standard tuning.
Another John Jacksong song, easy and fun to play.

6- Red River Blues
Key of E, standard tuning.
Based on Josh White's version and some John Jackson licks. An eight bar blues but with a very different feel than the usual "Key to the Highway" stuff.

7- Boat's Up the River
Key of C, standard tuning.
Another fine John Jackson song, also easy and fun to play.

8- I Bring My Money
Key of C, standard tuning.
Last easy John Jackson song. His original take on "Take Me Back".

9- I Ain't Superstitious
Key of D, standard tuning. The Willie Dixon classic (listen to Rod Steward with Jeff Beck on YT) in an acoustic version, based on the playing of Geoff Bradford.Performance video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnmRHlhMc1w
10- And a Dog Was Sleeping in the Corner
Key of C, Open C tuning (CGCGCE low to high)
John James recorded this when he was under contract of Transatlantic Records. The wanted an original song for an acoustic compilation album. John came up with this, alsmost on the spot, and never played it again as he doesn't like open tunings. Although it moves all over the fretboard it's not difficult to play.
